Hello and welcome to our blog! We have a mother/daughter relationship that is very rare. We are each others best friend, confidant, and most trusted ally. Our unique relationship comes from being honest with each other, putting ourselves in the others shoes and taking each others personalities traits into consideration “most” of the time (hehehe). We hope that you will stop by regularly to read what shenanigans we are up to each week. And without further ado, let us introduce ourselves.
Mother: I am a 65 yo wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I am recently retired from a cancer facility hot-line where I spent the last 15 years of my working career. There are stories to be told regarding that 15 years but they are for another day. I am 10 years into my second marriage and was married to my daughter’s father for 25 years. My daughter and I have talked for years of writing a book about our lives, the things we do the same and the things we do different, the whys, the challenges and everything in between. We want this to be light hearted, though I am sure at times it will take on a serious note.
Daughter: I’ve been married for 22 years to one adorable beastly man, lol. We have three daughters, two in college and one in high school. We have our own traveling circus as I like to say, never a dull moment with this bunch! I have homeschooled for the past 12 years and will be wrapping up my homeschooling career in a year and half when my youngest graduates high school. Homeschooling has been quite an adventure in itself with many stories to share! I’ve stayed at home with my girls for 19 years then I made the jump back into the workforce. I started working from home for around 9 months then took a banking position outside the home, what an interesting transition it has been…oy vey!
