Mother: As you might know from an earlier post, here, I have been looking for a dress to wear to my granddaughters wedding. I had found this one during a mother daughter shopping trip and liked it very much.
But then I was online shopping and found another. I really liked the color and fit of this dress but because of the lining it was a little heavy.
I don’t know if you all are like I am but I have a tendency to buy clothes for how the weather is now, not how it is going to be in a week or two. Well the wedding was an outdoor country wedding and all I was worried about was rain. It never crossed my mind that it would go from the high 60’s and low 70’s to 94 degrees overnight, but it did. But, being the person I am, I figured the weather man had it wrong so I would go with a linen dress and a cardigan.
As you can see the breeze was blowing, it was 75 degrees, all was well. Of course this was at noon and the wedding was at 3p. We got to the venue at 2:45p, the sun was beating down, the breeze had left, pictures were being taken and my cardigan came off. lol
These last pictures were taken after the wedding and we were back home. I don’t like to show my arms but when it came down to it, I preferred that to heat stroke. lol
The wedding was wonderful and of course my granddaughter was a beautiful bride. Under her beautiful Vera Wang gown the bride had on cowboy boots. lol
My dress and shoes came from Macy’s a couple of years ago and the cardigan was from Old Navy last year. The red dress was from Eloquil this year. The pearl necklace and earrings are from JC Penney’s. All are mine.
