As has been noticed we have been off the grid for awhile. Daughter and I have been discussing what we need to do with the blog and as of yet no real decisions have been made. We started out doing a lifestyle blog which was doing well but then daughters husband had surgery and she didn’t have much free time. We then tried some DIY but I knew from the get go that wasn’t my thing. lol Then we thought we would go with fashion. We both like clothes but trying to do two blogs a week and coordinate an outfit twice a week was more than I could do. Daughter didn’t come back from “sick” leave, plus she has a full time job so I was trying to carry on. We then started selling Lularoe and we were trying to do our blog around that, but I am just a pretty boring dresser. lol
I am a retired nurse and I hate to say it but there are days that other than going to the gym I don’t leave my house. And I know, I know that lots of folks think that even if you are at home all day you should do your hair and makeup and put on presentable clothing. I am not one of those people. My husband and I were out of the country from Jan. 3 till the 15th and my face hasn’t seen anything other than moisturizer since the 15th. Yes my hair has been washed and dried and I have clean clothes on but I wouldn’t dare go out in them. I might mention I haven’t had a bra on in that length of time either. In my own defense my husband and I have been sick since the day after we got back.
This is a second marriage for both my husband and myself and it is our last one so we are sticking together no matter what comes our way. I say this because after the sights hubby saw with me sick last week he would have a reason to run. I got some sort of intestinal virus and it was not pretty. I am not a gentle thrower upper. I had a nissen fundoplication a little better than a year ago to fix my GERD and it makes getting sick hard. So I heave. When I say I heave it comes from the bottom of my feet and I make a noise that could call moose home. I did this almost every hour for 36 hours, then it went to every two hours till it stopped. Hubby stood by with a cool cloth, sips of water and comforting words. And bless his heart he was sick also. He has a cold. He vapes so it worries me when he has a cold because it always goes to his chest. All of this goes as to why I haven’t dressed nor made up in over a week.
I am putting some pictures in from our recent cruise. The first pictures are from Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas. I think every cruise line claims this place as their own. This was not bad weather for the first week in Jan. but I have to say the water in all of the ports was pretty cold. The last picture is my usual wear when heading to an excursion on a cruise. lol It was an interesting cruise and I will write about it very soon.
Till next time.
