Mother: I was commenting back and forth with someone a couple of weeks ago regarding shoes. And I made the comment that at one time I probably had 200 pairs of shoes. Not only do I like my handbags but I love shoes. As someone else said when you have a weight issue you buy shoes, you never have to worry if they are going to fit or make you look heavier. lol However after seeing my ankles in my last post, here, I have to rethink that heavy thing. lol What is sad about these sandals making my ankles look thick is that I have three pairs of the sandals in different colors. The gold Alfani’s which I wore to the wedding.
The bronze Anne Klein’s that I took as a back up, in case I didn’t want to wear the gold.
And the black ones that I haven’t had a chance to wear this summer and since seeing myself in the gold ones probably won’t. lol
I think it is funny how similar these sandals are but they are made by two different companies.
I do tend to buy in multiples if you remember from another post, here. lol And I buy my shoes/sandals more for comfort and safety, now that I am 65+.
The Clark’s above and these Anne Klein are both very comfortable shoes. I can wear either pair all day without aching feet.
But then I also have a tendency to buy because I love the look.
I fell in love with these Calvin Klein’s, then I fell off of them and broke my foot. One minute I was strutting my stuff down a hallway and the next my face was kissing the floor. lol You would think that I would have learned that anything higher than one inch was too much for me, but no, I found these lovely things on vacation and had to have them.
To be truthful these have never been worn outside of my bedroom. I have a dress that they look perfect with, but after a walk around the bedroom the shoes go back in their box and out comes a more wearable pair of black sandals.
Do you have shoes that you love but never wear for one reason or another? I know most of my sandals are not as “stylish” as a lot of others wear but I have to protect myself from breaking a bone. lol
All shoes are mine, bought at Macy’s, DSW, or a small boutique in Pensacola.
Till next time.
