1. This reminds me of a wonderful poem I used to know!
    The gist of it was that some friendships were like flowers—they bloomed fast and died each year. And other friendships were like the tress—they took years to mature and lasted for decades. And this world needs both the flowers and the trees!
    Because what you have written is so true for all of us. And I used to lament those “friends” that I didn’t have anymore. But I think if I consider how lucky I was to have them when I needed them—then it’s all good!!

      I am so thankful for the friends that have come and gone. But sometimes when I read about friends that have been together for 50 years and still get together it makes me a little sad.
