Mother: My oldest granddaughter is getting married in a few weeks and I have been looking for a dress. It is a “shabby chic” type wedding with burlap and earthy colors. I have posted before regarding the tablecloth that I made for the cake table.
Daughter and I are pears and are always dressing to try and bring balance to our look. I like to keep my arms covered but daughter, being twenty years younger, doesn’t mind showing her’s.
Daughter looked pretty awesome in this white and beige chiffon tunic over white capris’. She also tried another outfit on that was similar, but with a pretty blue pant. All clothing is from Macy’s. The white pants (here) and the white and beige top (here). The white pants are INC and the tunic Alfani.
I love the hem at the bottom of this chiffon vest. The camisole she wore also had some shimmer to it. I thought either look on daughter was a good choice.
As I said I like to cover my arms so I either try for outfits with sleeves or find something to wear over the top. I love dresses and skirts in the summer.
I really liked this Tommy Hilfiger wrap around. A wrap around doesn’t always work for me because I am so big busted but this was a fairly good fit. Again this was Macy’s (here)
I tried it with a white shirt as a cover but am not happy with it so think I will just show my arms and not worry about it.
What are your thoughts? Do you cover your arms or just don’t worry about it?
